Step Up and You Got Serve are timeless! Also, I love teen movies based on works of literature. She's the Man is great because it closely follows the original Twelfth Night by Shakespeare. However, I feel that "She's the Man" is the weakest link in this string of pearls. Is "teen competition movie" a genre? Maybe it's a Gen X thing but I can't stand them. Amanda Bynes — along with every other "teen movie" made after 1987 (Less than Zero) — needs to be jettisoned into space. This is an interesting list with some really great picks.
